COVID19 Update

We Are Fully Operational And Ready To Assist You During This Uncertain Time

The Karp Law Firm is fully operational and ready to assist you. For the time being, we are meeting with clients by phone or video conference. This allows you and your attorney to discuss and accomplish everything just as if we were meeting in person. We are also conducting document signings with a safe, "socially distanced" procedure that meets all legal requirements for executing documents.

We are still handling Medicaid cases for those with loved ones facing unsustainable nursing home bills. And for those whose loved one has passed, we are also handling probate and trust administration matters.

Whether you are a client of our firm now, or just want to talk about your options, contact us. We respond promptly to phone calls, emails and faxes. Call us at (561) 625-1100 or email us at to schedule a consultation.

We are working from home. Please drop in for a virtual visit!

The COVID 19 pandemic is a brutal reminder that our lives can change suddenly. Much is out of our control. All we can do and should do is prepare for whatever comes our way.

According to a 2020 survey conducted by, only 23% of American adults have a will, and only 6% have an advanced health care directive that will speak for them if they become incapacitated. Now, the fear of succumbing to COVID19 has many people eager to get their affairs in order.

How should you prepare?

  • Over 18? At a minimum, you should have a health care proxy and durable power of attorney enabling someone to handle your health decisions and financial affairs if you become ill. A will is also necessary, regardless of your net worth.
  • Are you a current client of The Karp Law Firm? Maybe you’ve been too busy or distracted to update and review your plan. This is a good time to look into any necessary changes.
  • Have you met with us before, but weren’t ready to proceed? Let’s get the ball rolling now.

In a rush to get your plans in place, do not be tempted to use do-it-yourself websites. While the sense of urgency is understandable, relying on do-it-yourself websites for generic documents is not wise. There are just too many fine points – related to state laws as well as your particular circumstances – that must be considered when constructing your plan. Let us help you create a rock-solid plan that will serve your family just as you envision. The Karp Law Firm can get it done for you fast, and we can get it done right.
