Elder Law and Estate Planning Attorney Joseph Karp was the featured speaker at the South Palm Beach Quest for Knowledge program on March 14, 2022. The presentation addressed “What Floridians Need To Know About Life Planning and Death Planning in 2022.” Mr. Karp’s talk covered a wide range of topics, including how IRA required distributions can be used to make charitable contributions; how to make sure your agent under your durable power of attorney will be able to exercise the powers the document authorizes; and clarification of the many misconceptions about the 5-year Medicaid look-back rule.
This is the first Quest for Knowledge series held since the pandemic began. It’s great that the program is back, and it’s great to be part of it!
