Picking up Pearls of Wisdom at the AATEELA Meeting

Attorney Joseph Karp is off to Memphis this afternoon for the semi-annual meeting of the American Association of Trust, Estate Planning and Elder Law Attorneys.

AATEELA is a small, select group of legal professionals from around the country who brainstorm and exchange information. Members remain in touch year round, but gather in person twice a year.  It’s an honor to be part of this elite, invitation-only group.

AATEELA’s discussions cover a variety of topics, but this year the group will be focused on a variety of estate planning issues, including irrevocable trusts and modification techniques; the implications of clients’ diminished capacity for estate planning; and of course, that perennial topic, tax strategies for estate planning clients and the status of current federal estate tax.

Offices Closed Wednesday and Thursday Due To Hurricane Milton

For the safety of both clients and staff, all our offices will close at noon on Wednesday, October 9 and will be closed all day Thursday, October 10. We plan to re-open on Friday, October 11.

You may email or call us on those days. Staff will be working from home, assuming no power outages, and will do their best to respond.

Thank you for your understanding and STAY SAFE, everyone!
