If you or a loved one is receiving long-term care nursing home benefits, you may receive a notice from the Agency for Health Care Administration asking you to select a different Medicaid managed care plan. This is because the agency has renegotiated contracts with some plans. Some plans have been added to certain regions, and others eliminated.
If you receive notification about choosing a new plan, there is no need to worry. This is just an administrative change and will not interrupt or jeopardize your Medicaid benefits.
For a chart showing the plans available in each of these regions effective Dec. 1, 2018, click here. To understand the chart, you need to know the region your county falls in:
Region 9: Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, Okeechobee counties
Region 10: Broward County
Region 11: Miami-Dade and Monroe counties
