Longtime estate planning clients Maria Woods asked Attorney Karp to tell her story after she passed on. In 2004, Attorney Karp fulfilled his pledge, and Ms. Woods’ story became national tribute to a true patriot. A German immigrant who became an American citizen, Ms. Woods was grateful for the opportunities she’d found in her adopted nation — so much so that she took the unusual step of leaving the bulk of her estate to the U.S. government.
