The Karp Law Firm handles Probate and Trust Administration. Last year, three of our dear, longtime clients passed on. All were animal lovers who had named Attorney Joseph Karp as their trustee and personal representative. They instructed him to use whatever tangible personal property they left behind to help animals, with the freedom to select the appropriate charity.
Since all the clients were Palm Beach County residents, Attorney Karp opted to make a donation to Furry Friends, a 501c3 not-for-profit, no-kill rescue organization headquartered in Jupiter. All our clients’ items went to the organization’s popular thrift shop in Jupiter, and sale proceeds will now go to support the organization’s two no-kill animal shelters and veterinary clinic. We feel confident our late clients would be pleased to know that their last wishes are being honored in this way.
Furry Friends Executive Director Jason Gluck arrived in our office on February 23 to take the donations to the thrift store. The haul included jewelry, artwork, sculpture. We also donated on one client’s behalf an enormous stamp collection, which Jason will now have appraised and sell to benefit the non-profit’s work.
