Firm’s workshops explain new Medicaid program

The Karp Law Firm brought together administrators from Florida’s new Medicaid managed care program, representatives from participating managed care companies, and the health care community from Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie and Okeechobee counties for three informational breakfasts in August.

The events familiarized those who work with the elderly with the new program. Over 150 case managers, social workers, and health care professionals were in attendance. This was the first time program representatives and the four local state-approved managed care companies participated in a group forum. Florida’s new managed care Medicaid program is scheduled to roll out Sept. 1. Read our law firm advisory about the new program here.

The Karp Law Firm organized and coordinated the three breakfasts, graciously hosted by our community-minded partners:

  • The Brennity in Port. St. Lucie (Thank you, Debbie North & staff)
  • Allegro Senior Living Community in Jupiter (Thank you, Regina Natoli-Sanchez & staff)
  • Arden Courts Memory Care Community, Delray Beach (Thank you, Marcia Teele & staff)
