What benefits does a Living Trust provide?

Jonathan D. Karp

A Revocable Living Trust is a popular estate planning tool that we use for many of our clients. It is an instrument that allows you to re-title your assets in the name of the Trust. While you’re alive, as the trustee of the Trust, you manage all of the assets, and it’s business as usual. Due to incapacity or death, you’ve named somebody else that can then control the assets. When you pass away, the person whom you’ve named as the successor trustee can distribute the assets, avoiding the costs of Probate and maintaining privacy for you, your loved ones, and your family.
